Title Case Rules
The tool capitalises the first letter of every word, which is the simplest and most common form of Title Case. Formal style guides (such as APA or Chicago) keep short words like a, an, the, and, of, in, on in lowercase unless they start the title — for example, “The Lord of the Rings”. If you are following a specific style guide, convert first and then adjust those small words by hand.
Why Text Case Matters
Readability
Long passages in UPPERCASE are hard to read because all the letters are the same height, so word shapes disappear. In emails and chats, all caps also comes across as shouting.
Consistency
Headings, product names and menu items look more professional when they follow one style throughout a document or website.
Code
